Striking Lighting from L and M StuidoCatskill, NY Visit Their Site
Designing “responsible works that create a sense of place for both the objects they contain and the people that experience them” is the mission of Stefanie Brechbuehler and Robert Highsmith, who founded Workstead design studios in Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley in 2009. To that end, Brechbuehler and Highsmith focus on architectural and interior design installations that can be found in the collections of Barneys, Google, and Facebook, to name a few, as well as furniture and lighting that’s sold through their website and shops in New York City and Los Angeles. Workstead’s lighting line employs newly cut steel and brass sockets as well as repurposed hadware, including 100-year-old joints by O.C. White, the company that patented them.
